Memo Bank MCP fits into your ecosystem

MCP is an open protocol that lets your AI assistant query your Memo Bank data directly, with no development work or technical integration required.

MCP doesn't replace your existing bank feeds: the EBICS protocol (Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard) and API Premium remain your channels for automated bulk transfers/statements and custom integrations, while PSD2 is the regulatory framework that lets authorized third parties access your accounts with your consent — MCP works alongside all three.

list_workspaces

Lists the Memo Bank workspaces you've authorized for this connector.

list_accounts

Returns all accounts in a workspace (current accounts, savings accounts) with balance, IBAN and status.

list_ibans

Lists all IBANs linked to a workspace, including virtual IBANs. Filterable by account.

list_transactions

Queries transaction history with advanced filters: account, period, reference, local IBAN, batch, custom identifier.

list_attachments

Lists the supporting documents attached to your transactions. Filterable by transaction.

get_attachment

Returns the metadata and a secure download URL for a given supporting document.

Security and access scope

Authentication via OAuth 2.0

Your Memo Bank credentials are never shared with the assistant. Authorization is managed through an OAuth 2.0 flow: you choose which workspaces are accessible, and Memo Bank issues time-limited access tokens. Only the workspaces you've explicitly selected are visible to the assistant.

Write access is limited to supporting documents

The assistant can only read your data and attach supporting documents to your transactions. It cannot initiate a transfer, move funds, or modify an existing transaction. You have full control over your funds.

The MCP server doesn't store your data

The Memo Bank MCP server doesn't store the content of your conversations or your banking data: it only relays calls to the Memo Bank API. Your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) is the one that retains the conversation, including any data the tools return to it. We recommend reviewing the data-handling policy of the tool you're using before connecting it.

Full traceability

Every call made through the MCP server is logged in the Memo Bank audit trail under your username, exactly like an action taken from the interface.

You can disable the connector at any time from your Memo Bank workspace or from your AI tool's settings. Access is revoked immediately.

FAQ about Memo Bank MCP

Which AI assistants is Memo Bank MCP compatible with?

Memo Bank MCP works with any assistant compatible with the MCP protocol, including Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT or Le Chat, via the same OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. MCP is available in the Claude connector list, or by asking your AI assistant's administrator to configure access.

Can the AI assistant make transfers or modify my accounts?

No. The assistant can only view your data (accounts, transactions, IBANs) and attach supporting documents to existing transactions. It cannot initiate a transfer, move funds, or modify a transaction or an account setting.

Are my Memo Bank credentials shared with the AI assistant?

No. Authorization runs through OAuth 2.0: your credentials never leave Memo Bank. The assistant only receives time-limited access tokens, which can be revoked at any time.

Can any team member connect the AI assistant, or only the account administrator?

Any user with access to a Memo Bank workspace can use their own access to connect the assistant once authorized by an administrator: they'll see exactly what their role already lets them see in the interface. An administrator role may be required on the AI tool's side (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) if the connector needs to be added manually.

How do I disconnect the assistant from my Memo Bank account?

You can revoke access at any time, either from your AI tool's connector settings or from your Memo Bank workspace (Apps menu). Revocation is immediate.
