Head of Product

Introduction

We are looking for a Head of product with the ability to translate our roadmap into concrete features. Our Head of product will manage our team of Product managers, which is expected to grow throughout the year.

About the position

Role

You will be in charge of the implementation of innovative banking products. You will define our product positioning in line with Memo Bank’s development strategy. In order to anticipate regulatory constraints as well as technical and business challenges, you will work closely with our product managers, designers, developers, account managers, finance specialists and our risk managers. You will understand our customers’ needs and expectations, internal or external. You will gather our entire team around a Product vision - you will share and give a meaning to what is foreseen for the product in the short, medium and long term.

You will be the manager of our three Product managers. You will listen to them, coach them, and you will be keen to help them grow in their role. You will innovate and coordinate teams on complex banking topics, while defining and driving the product vision across the company.

Responsibilities

Generally speaking, you will:

• Manage, coach and help our product team grow - our product team is made of three product managers.

• Define and implement a consistent Product vision across the company.

• Inspire an ideal production pace across the company.

• Ensure a perfect coordination between the technical and business teams.

• Stimulate the company’s creativity and create an environment where small ideas can become solid and useful products.

• Facilitate fast decision making thanks to your problem solving attitude.

• Explore product partnership opportunities, implement and lead them.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a solid management experience in product management in the banking industry.

Ideally, you have:

• At least ten years’ experience in product management in the banking industry, on various topics.

• At least five years’ experience in a fast-growth company.

• A global and solid understanding of european banking subjects and questions.

• A management spirit - you are keen to coach and inspire your team and unify them around a shared vision.

• Recognized experience on projects where everything was yet to be done. Even more, you love starting from a blank page.

• Really good technical knowledge and a background in software engineering.

• International experience.

• Strong written and spoken English. All internal documentation is in English and you will be adding to it.
